Modular Design

Portal Pros axles are built around a modular architecture that keeps things simple and adaptable. Each assembly uses the same core components across all platforms, with only four vehicle-specific parts:

  • Mount plate

  • Input gear

  • Brake caliper mount

  • Drive flange

This approach allows the portal axle to be easily transferred between vehicle platforms by swapping only the vehicle-specific components.

What’s Included?

  • 4x Bolt-on Portal Axles

  • 4x Adapter plates to mount to your specific axles

  • 4x Extended brake lines to your stock calipers

  • 4x Bolt-on support gussets

  • 2x Quarts of 75W 90 synthetic gear oil (enough for the first fill)

  • 2x E-brake calipers and cables to replace your factory, drum style E-brake

  • 2x Rear axle shafts to convert your rear axle from semi-float to full float

  • [Tacomas only] 2x Rear brake calipers and rotors

  • All hardware needed for installation

What else do I need?

Tools required for installation:

  • Floor jack

  • 2x Jackstands

  • Metric hex bits (5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm)

  • Large sockets (36mm, 32mm, 24mm)

  • Torque wrench

  • Snap ring pliers (internal and external)

  • Additional tools required for removing stock parts

Recommended upgrades depending on tire size:

  • 35s or bigger

    • Aftermarket ball joints

    • Upgraded knuckles or kuckle gussets
